If you like Warhammer 40K in any way, get this game and get UMW40K. It's a work in progress, but it's an absolute fucking gem. Ardennes Assault goes back to Relic's roots, presenting itself as a dynamic campaign where every mission emphasizes the ideals mentioned, exactly like we have seen in the Company of Heroes 1 campaign. There's total conversions of it to WWI, a shit ton of unit additions, various maps ranging from historical ones to made up stuff, but my favorite is the insanely large UMW40K, which is a total conversion of MOWAS 2 to a Warhammer 40K game. We have not seen much of the ideals mentioned in the campaign of Company of Heroes 2 and Relic seemed to have understood where the mistake was made. You should get the game just for the mods.

Jesus Christ, the mods are the main draw for me. However, it definitely has some advantages over COH 2, including armor that works consistently- no 6-pounders randomly penning a King Tiger from the front, for example- maps that feel a lot bigger, direct unit control (which is absurdly awesome like Jesus Christ I want it in COH 2 so fucking bad because of my experience with it destroying entire enemy infantry formations using a single tank by playing smart and pumping out HE feels fucking AMAZING). Assault Officer is one of the strongest units of short range, can shoot panzergrenadiers and. One disadvantage is the lack of an anti-tank grenade.

Able to win a battle against machine gun when in green cover. You need to pay more attention to it in general. Infantry (good) Infantry section is a strong long range squad, that become more stronger when in cover. It's very micro intensive, to the point you have to restore unit ammo using trucks. I haven't played COH 1 unfortunately I'm sharing my insights despite this because I have played MOWAS 2.ĭepends.
